Certification of the film

The certification Of the film will help to create elements of a film for our target audience. The films certificate also limits us to what we can and can't do.

For our film we have decided a certificate 15 film would be suitable as it allows us to portray more horror-esque elements.

Discrimination
Our film does not include any discriminatory language however, racist and homophobic language is allowed as long as it does not promote the use of this language.

Drugs
Due to the content of our film there may be the use of drugs as medicinal for our mains characters mental illness. The film does not ,however, promote them for recreational use.

Imitable behaviour
Dangerouse behaviour should not be included in great detail, as our film includes he use of a knife and a theme of suicide, we must not promote this in a great extent or show photo-realistic representations of this.

Language
Our film does feature the use of strong language. Strong language is allowed depending on the manner used, there are little limitations however to the use of this in our film.

Nudity & Sexual Activity
There is no nudity in our film as this does not express any of our films themes or ideas. With this there will be no need for sexual themes or behaviours in this film.

Threat
Our film is based upon strong horror elements and threats to people, this is perfectly fine for our wanted certification as long as this is not a sexual threat or sustained sadistic threat that may scare audiences.

Violence
Our film features violence through the aspect of someones neck being cut open, our wanted certification does not prevent us from doing this aslong as the extent of the film does notdwell in this pain or the infliction of this pain. The nature of the violence in our film is almost self defence like thus not creating any sadistic intent or depiction of sexual violence.

Due to this we believe our film suits the BBFC certificate 15 criteria and does not extend significantly out of these boundaries. THis suggests to us that our target audience is also suitable and will be willing to watch a screening of the film without being mentally scarred or wish to imitate any of the actions seen on the screen.
